Streamprotect verwertet zusammen mit zahlreichen Audioverlagen Hörbücher und Hörspiele in Form von Apps für mobile Endgeräte. Das Geschäftsmodell basiert auf dem aus dem Computerspiele-Vertrieb bekannten "Try Before You Buy"-Modell. Die kostenlosen Apps ermöglichen es den Kunden kostenlos und unverbindlich die Inhalte vor dem Kauf probezuhören. Wer weiterhören will kann direkt innerhalb der App weitere Kapitel zukaufen. So generiert Streamprotect für seine Partner neue Umsatzquellen neben den klassichen Vertriebswegen.



Streamprotect provides content protection and content delivery/streaming network (CDN/CSN) services in Europe. The service streams content for traditional and emerging media companies or content providers. Its service include a content protection system, which provides a secure way to deliver streaming video to the customers. This technology also enables the content provider to limit the duration of the licenses, the parts of the movies (PPC/pay-per-chapter) and also offers modules for pay-per-minute (PPM) charging. Streamprotect is the only service that offers this proprietary and effective technology to protect on-demand streaming formats including HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Adobe Flash (h.264/ACC), MP3 audio and QuickTime. The service also offers professional services to help customers determine content distribution strategies, network architecture design, content storage infrastructure, live event execution, and practices for the design, deployment, and management of media streaming infrastructure. In addition, Streamprotect offers a Web-based customer portal that provides management information reports, streaming and storage statistics and an account manager that simplifies the accounting with the licensors.
